Wasleh is a free community platform that helps diaspora travelers connect so they can carry small personal items for each other as a neighborly favor.
Wasleh is not a courier, logistics, shipping, freight-forwarding, customs-brokerage, insurance, escrow, or transportation service. Wasleh does not transport, inspect, package, insure, appraise, authenticate, or take custody of any item at any point. Wasleh does not employ, contract, supervise, background-check, or vet travelers or requesters. Wasleh is solely a communications and discovery tool that allows members to find and message each other; everything that happens after two members connect — including whether to meet, what to exchange, how to package it, and how to hand it off — is a private arrangement between members, made entirely at their own discretion and risk.
Wasleh currently facilitates connections along corridors between Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Canada, the United States, and Australia.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
Exchanges on Wasleh are favors, not commercial transactions. You agree not to request, offer, or accept payment for carrying items through the platform. Reasonable reimbursement of documented out-of-pocket costs (for example, a customs fee) is permitted between members if both agree, but this does not convert Wasleh into a paid service, and Wasleh has no role in, visibility into, or responsibility for any such reimbursement.
Using Wasleh to meet other members and exchange physical items carries inherent risk, and you accept that risk entirely and voluntarily. This includes, without limitation, the risk that: an item is lost, damaged, stolen, delayed, seized by customs or aviation authorities, or never delivered; an item is misrepresented, mislabeled, illegal, or unsafe; a member misrepresents their identity, travel plans, or intentions; a meetup or handoff results in a dispute, financial loss, property damage, personal injury, or worse. You are solely responsible for deciding whether, with whom, where, and how to meet, and for verifying the contents of any item before accepting it. Wasleh strongly recommends meeting in public places and using the in-app security check and QR confirmation feature, but you acknowledge that this feature is a convenience tool only — it does not verify the legality, safety, authenticity, condition, or value of any item, and Wasleh makes no representation that its use prevents loss, damage, fraud, or any other harm.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Wasleh, its founders, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, and damages of every kind, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with a dispute, act, or omission of another member — including disputes over lost, damaged, stolen, delayed, or misrepresented items; failed, unsafe, or disputed handoffs; personal injury; or any other outcome of an interaction you entered into with another member through Wasleh. If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code Section 1542, which states: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him or her would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party." Residents of other jurisdictions waive the benefit of any equivalent statute or legal principle.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Wasleh, its founders, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claim, liability, damage, loss, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of Wasleh; (b) any item you post, offer, request, carry, or receive through Wasleh; (c) your violation of these terms; (d) your violation of any law, regulation, customs rule, or third party's rights; or (e) any dispute, interaction, or agreement between you and another member. This obligation survives termination of your account.
Wasleh does not conduct identity verification, background checks, or vetting of any member beyond what is stated in-app, and makes no representation about any member's trustworthiness, reliability, or intentions. Wasleh does not endorse, recommend, or vouch for any member, trip, or request. Members are independent individuals acting on their own behalf; nothing in these terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint-venture, or franchise relationship between Wasleh and any member, or between members themselves.
Public share links are an optional feature that lets a member show a limited summary of their own trip or request to people outside the app. A shared link is an invitation to connect, not an offer, reservation, booking, or contract of carriage. Wasleh does not verify the information on shared pages and is not responsible for how members or third parties use or forward a link. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the disclaimers and limitations in Sections 5, 11 and 12 apply equally to shared links.
You may rate the app and other members. Public app reviews are visible to the community only when they are positive and constructive (3 stars or more). Lower-rated or flagged reviews are routed to moderators before publication so we can review serious issues privately and act on them. We may remove any content that violates these terms, at our sole discretion and without notice.
We may suspend or terminate any account, at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason, including but not limited to a member breaking these rules, putting other members at risk, or attempting to abuse the platform.
Wasleh is provided strictly "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This includes, without limitation, the disclaimer of any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. Without limiting the foregoing, Wasleh makes no warranty that: the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; any member is who they claim to be; any trip, request, or match will occur, be accurate, or be completed; any item exchanged will be safe, legal, authentic, or delivered at all. Nothing in this section limits statutory consumer rights that cannot be lawfully excluded or waived in your country of residence.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: Wasleh's total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of Wasleh shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Wasleh in the twelve months before the claim arose (which, as Wasleh is free, is expected to be zero), or (b) one hundred United States dollars (US $100). In no event will Wasleh be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or for personal injury or property damage, arising out of or related to your use of Wasleh, any item exchanged, or the conduct of any member — even if Wasleh has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Wasleh does not insure items, trips, or handoffs of any kind. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by proven gross negligence or willful misconduct, or fraud, where and to the extent such exclusion is not permitted in your jurisdiction.
The Wasleh name, logo, and interface are owned by Wasleh. You retain ownership of content you post, but grant Wasleh a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the app for the purpose of operating the service.
Your personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms by reference.
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of Wasleh after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable by a court or regulator of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the seat of the Wasleh operating entity, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence that apply regardless of choice of law.
